Introduction

Teno ("we", "our", "us") is a tennis matchmaking app that helps players find partners in their city. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Teno, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Teno:

• Account information — email address, display name, and password (or OAuth credentials via Google or Apple Sign-In)
• Profile information — profile photo, self-reported skill level, city
• Location data — your city selection and, with your permission, your device location to calculate travel time to courts
• Match data — matches you create or join, scores, chat messages, and availability slots
• Device information — device token for push notifications (only when you opt in)

How We Use Your Data

• Matchmaking — to show you available players and matches in your city
• Ratings — to calculate and display your Teno Rating based on match results
• Travel time — to estimate travel time from your location to courts (via Google Routes API)
• Communication — to send push notifications about match updates, invitations, and messages
• Weather — to show weather forecasts for match times (via Open-Meteo, no personal data sent)

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
• Apple Sign-In — for authentication (subject to Apple's Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — for push notifications (subject to Firebase Privacy Policy)
• Google Routes API — for travel time calculations (your coordinates are sent to Google to compute routes)
• Open-Meteo — for weather data (only court coordinates are sent, no personal data)

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in Helsinki, Finland (Hetzner). We use HTTPS for all data transmission and store passwords using secure hashing. Authentication tokens are short-lived (15 minutes) with longer refresh tokens (30 days).

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Match history and ratings are kept to maintain the integrity of the rating system. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Your Rights

You have the right to control your personal data. You can:

• Access and update your profile information in the app
• Delete your profile photo
• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your account and data

Children's Privacy

Teno is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes & Contact

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
